Top Teens Represent at National Lemonade Day

Prairie View – In taking part in National Lemonade Day on Sunday, Prairie View Top Ladies of Distinction and the Top Teens of America were able to fulfill their core mantra of “M.O.M.E.N.T.U.M.”

M.O.M.E.N.T.U.M. stands for Mission, Ownership, Mental toughness, Empowerment, Networking, Teamwork, Unity, and Mentorship all of the words which coincide for selling lemonade.

Lemonade Day is a day about teaching kids the principles of business and enterprise by helping them start a lemonade stand. It was founded in 2007 and since then has grown from 2,700 kids to over 55,000 youth. Generally lemonade day is hosted the first weekend in May.

This year the Teens and Ladies held the event at Mount Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Hempstead where everybody from the surrounding areas was invited to come and partake in the festivities.
