Jesus Christ is the leadership example for what greatness is all about. If an individual desires greatness he/she must be willing to serve others, become a servant leader. Throughout his ministry Jesus exemplified servanthood leadership, not self-serving EGO (Edge God Out). The tongue is the deadliest weapon in the universe. This is precisely why the Bible boldly declares: “Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.” (Psalm 34: 13). Hence, fear no man. Fear God and keep his commandments, because fear of the Lord is wisdom. Individuals who fear God will not lie. God hates lies. Therefore, the eternal question is: can individuals reconcile themselves unto God and each other before it is too late?
The Catholic church has a Godly opportunity to begin the process of eternal-world reconciliation, because eleven o’clock on Sunday mornings is the most segregated ungodly hour in the world community, the epitome of institutional racism. Recently, I engaged in a discussion with Dr. Robert E. Childress, senior pastoral leader of Covenant Glen Global Methodist Church. Dr. Childress said: “if the Catholic church selected a Black Pope, it would spiritually heal a racially divided world”. What a Godly idea! What a Mighty God we serve! King David would spiritually understand Dr. Childress’s sentiment when he wrote: “Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.” (Psalm 35: 1). America, the battle is the Lord’s, because: “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” (Psalm 24: 1). Individuals potentially can live up to 120 years based on historical Biblical records.
The Trump Administration is moving America ever so close to White Privilege Autocracy without spiritually understanding that diversity is of GOD, because: “The beauties of nature come in all colors. The strengths of humankind come in many forms. Every being is wonderfully unique. All of us contribute in different ways. When we learn to honor the difference, and appreciate the mix, we find harmony.” Attempting to make everyone the same is of the devil. Diversity is spiritually all about allowing God to be God. America, we can end racism simply by embracing diversity, and embracing spiritual reconciliation, because hate is of the devil. Hence, God hates racism (Number 12: 1-12). God is LOVE, and “He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. (1 John 3: 14-15). Therefore, if individuals live by the Truth, they will be hated by the world, because the devil is the father of the world, and the author and finisher of lies (sin).
Love is demonstrated through actions, not feelings. Hate is about feelings. Some Americans may struggle with finding common ground and prefer opposition over spiritual understanding. Leadership involves identifying and establishing common ground among individuals. President Trump won the 2024 Presidential election because of spiritual socio-economic barriers, and the inability of too many Americans to spiritually embrace multi-cultural democracy. Sadly, too many Americans desire White Privilege Autocracy, rather than multi-cultural democracy. America, it is time for us to unite and get right with God before it is too late. Selah.
