NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Petty Officer 3rd Class Kayden Gremillion, a native of Houston, Texas, serves aboard USS John C. Stennis, a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier operating out of Newport News, Virginia. Aircraft carriers are among the largest warships in the world.

Gremillion graduated from Cinco Ranch High School in 2021.

The skills and values needed to succeed in the Navy are similar to those found in Houston.

“I learned early on to watch who I trust,” Gremillion said. “In the Navy, you have to be the same way. You never know who doesn’t have your back, and knowing who deserves your trust and who doesn’t can mean the difference in success or failure.”
