The year 2015 marks the 80th birthday of Aldine ISD.  Over the past 80 years the district has grown to almost 70,000 students and is projected to keep growing at 3% per year for next 5 years.  The buildings in Aldine ISD average 30 years in age.  Many of the buildings are much older.  The original Carver High School Building is 61 years old.  The original Anderson Elementary building is 74 years old and the original Aldine High School building is 59 years old.

Aldine ISD is celebrating 80 years of history, while planning for the future.  The district is analyzing projected growth, facility renovations and the technology needs of the students.  On May 7th, 2015, @ 6:30 pm the District will host a Community Meeting to discuss options and financing to pay for the needs of the district.  The Community Meeting will take place at the , 1865 Aldine Bender Rd, Houston, TX 77032.
