Six people, including the suspected gunman, are dead after shootings at three locations in rural Missaukee County, Michigan, authorities said Saturday.
Michigan State Police identified the suspect as 39-year-old Chad Hickman. Troopers responding Friday to a home in Lake Township found three people dead and a 13-year-old girl critically wounded. A fourth victim was discovered at another property, and police later found Hickman and a fifth victim dead near Whitlock Lake in Caldwell Township.
The victims included a 16-year-old boy, two men ages 45 and 53, and two women ages 29 and 40, according to The Associated Press. The surviving girl was reported in stable condition Saturday. Authorities have not announced a motive and said the investigation remains active.
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer expressed condolences to the victims’ families and the Missaukee County community.
