‘Heroes’ and ‘Nashville’ Actress Hayden Panettiere Dies at 36

Hayden Panettiere, the actress known for starring in the television series “Heroes” and “Nashville,” has died at age 36, her family confirmed Monday through her publicist.

Panettiere was found unresponsive Sunday at her apartment in Greenville, South Carolina, and was pronounced dead despite efforts to revive her, according to The Associated Press. Authorities said there was no indication of foul play. A cause of death had not been announced.

She began acting as a child and appeared in projects including “Remember the Titans,” “A Bug’s Life” and the “Scream” franchise. Her portrayal of Juliette Barnes on “Nashville” earned two Golden Globe nominations, while her role as Claire Bennet made her one of the best-known stars of “Heroes.”

Reuters reported that Panettiere is survived by her daughter and parents. Her family asked for privacy while mourning her death.
