GET IN THE FIGHT

Life is shaped by choices, and every choice has consequences, whether good or bad. President Donald J. Trump and his MAGA movement have revived a long-standing struggle over racial equity, social justice, and multicultural democracy. The Preamble to the U.S. Constitution affirms the moral ideal that all people are created equal, endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and that governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed. Glory hallelujah to God.

Sadly, America’s crisis in democratic governance is not only about Donald J. Trump, but also about the 77 million Americans who voted for him despite his six bankruptcies, 84 felony convictions, the removal of government secrets from the White House to his private residence in Florida, and, above all, his attempt to overthrow the U.S. government on January 6, 2021. America, retribution is not justice; it is injustice. Retribution is sin, which is why God declares that the just shall live by faith and that He will repay: “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” (Joshua 1:9). Without question, God will fulfill His purpose, for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof, and all who dwell therein. The eternal question remains: who is on the Lord’s side?

President Trump and his MAGA-Cult aligned GOP supporters promote a form of violent populism rooted in institutional racism and white-privilege autocracy as public policy. If this is what it means to make America great again, then God help us when America is doing poorly. Violent populism creates social problems; it does not solve them. January 6, 2021, stands as a clear eternal example. Now, President Trump desires to compensate the insurrectionists.

Hopefully, President Trump and his supporters will come to the realization that society’s economic and social problems cannot be solved through revenge, punishment, or killing. America, some individuals simply cannot be trusted with institutional power, because they lack a godly conscience and are driven instead by an autocratic ego—EGO meaning Edge God Out. Thus, the principle of one person, one vote is foundational to multicultural democracy, but institutional racism undermines that ideal through practices such as midterm redistricting/ gerrymandering.

Consequently, the failure of many American voters to recognize what the author views as President Trump’s ungodliness has been one of the greatest tragedies in American society since the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. President Trump is a bold, unapologetic, and open advocate of White-Privilege Autocracy. In the author’s view, he made that agenda plain by offering up Project 2025 as a blueprint for White Autocracy prior to the 2024 Presidential Election.

What an ungodly shame. Unfortunately, many Americans believed that the racist system had been legally corrected through the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, but the editorial writer argues that those gains were boldly challenged in 2016. Now, in 2026, the U. S. Supreme Court has nullified the two time-honored pieces of Civil Rights Legislation. Consequently, America is in a state of spiritual and moral hellish decline. Amen.
