Students at Reece Academy participated in the Beulah Shepard Acres Homes Neighborhood library essay contest, they created posters of prominent local figures.
Those highlighted were:
Former Mayor and Congressman Sylvester Turner, Actress Loretta Devine, Rapper Chamillionaire, Chairman and Publisher of African American News and Issues Mr. Roy Douglas Malonson, Political Icon Mrs. Beulah Shepard Versa Reece Academy is an award winning MSA Magnet School in Aldine ISD.
