Houston Sweeps BOMA International’s The Outstanding Building of the Year Awards, Ending Nearly a Decade-Long Drought

Houston Sweeps BOMA International's The Outstanding Building of the Year Awards, Ending Nearly a Decade-Long Drought
Houston BOMA (Houston Building Owners and Managers Association) proudly announces that all three of its buildings competing in the 2025-2026 International TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) Awards won in their respective categories at the 2026 BOMA International Conference & Expo on June 30. It’s Houston’s first international TOBY Award wins in nearly a decade.
The TOBY Awards are the commercial real estate industry’s highest honor, recognizing excellence in building management and operations. To win internationally, a property must first win at the local and regional level, then go through an in-person building inspection by judges who evaluate criteria like community impact, tenant relations, energy management, accessibility, and emergency preparedness.
The three Houston winners are:
– Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza (Medical category) — managed by JLL, owned by LaSalle Investment Management
– Two Eldridge (250,000-499,999 sq. ft. category) — managed and owned by Granite Properties
– Bank of America Tower (500,000-1 million sq. ft. category) — managed by Transwestern, owned by Beacon Capital Partners
“These wins are a tremendous reflection of the talent, dedication, and operational excellence that define Houston’s commercial real estate community,” said Bradley Elliott, MBA, CAE, IOM, CEO of Houston BOMA. “To have all three of our regional winners bring home international TOBYs in the same year — Houston’s first in nearly a decade — is an extraordinary achievement.”
