Residents of Houston’s newly drawn Congressional District 29 will have the opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking to represent them in Congress during a CD29 Candidate Forum hosted by the Acres Home Super Neighborhood Council and community members.
The debate will feature Jarvis Johnson, Robert Slater, and the current sitting congresswoman for CD 29, Sylvia Garcia, offering voters a chance to hear their positions on key issues impacting the district.
Moderated by Leslie Delasbour of FOX 26 Houston and Warren F. Muhammad of The Acres Home Chamber, the forum is designed to encourage informed civic engagement through real and honest questions and direct candidate responses.
“This debate creates space for transparency, accountability, and meaningful dialogue between candidates and the community,” said Timothy White of the Acres Home Super Neighborhood Council. “Our goal is to ensure residents are equipped with the information they need as they prepare to vote.”
The event is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to arrive early.
