HISD seniors are proving what’s possible before even graduating. The Class of 2026 has already earned more than 7,800 industry-based certifications (IBCs) across high-demand fields including health science, construction technology, automotive technology, culinary arts, education, electrical technology, and welding.
Students headed to college earned more than $379 million in financial aid offers and scholarships so far, as well as 8,791 local university acceptances and 37 Ivy League offers. Across the District, 95% of seniors applied to at least one university.
These outcomes reflect the continued expansion of rigorous academics, modern career pathways, and stronger postsecondary opportunities for all HISD students.
