Former President Joe Biden’s prostate cancer has spread beyond his bones and is causing significant pain, according to his son, Hunter Biden. He described the illness as painful and debilitating during an interview with the BBC.
A spokesperson for the 83-year-old former president declined to comment further on Saturday. Biden disclosed in May 2025 that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had already spread to his bones.
His representatives said in October that he was receiving radiation treatment and hormone therapy. Biden has continued making some public appearances, including attending the dedication of former President Barack Obama’s presidential library in Chicago in June.
The latest information comes from Hunter Biden’s account; no separate medical update was released by the former president’s office.
