DSNDP Volunteers Remove 300 Pounds of Trash in Needville, Texas.

On March 1, 2026, the Texas community came together for a significant environmental cleanup, as volunteers from Dr. Shri. Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan (DSNDP) participated in an Adopt-A-Highway cleanup drive. This event, in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT), took place at FM 361/FM 1994 up to Seller Rd, Needville, Fort Bend County, Texas 77461. A dedicated team of twelve volunteers from Fort Bend County cleared twenty large trash bags along a 3-mile stretch, removing approximately 300 pounds of waste. With the core principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (The world is one family), DSNDP has undertaken numerous nationwide environmental initiatives since July 2022. This philosophy, along with the visionary leadership of Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari and Dr. Shri Sachindada Dharmadhikari, drives their commitment to a cleaner and greener future for all.

DSNDP’s impact in Texas continues to grow, with previous the organization also carried out 62 cleanliness activities that includes Adopt-a-Road, Adopt-a-Highway, Storm Drain marking etc. across 8 cities involving a total of 599 volunteers who worked for around 947 volunteer hours, collected 355 bags of waste resulting in approx. 5325 pounds of trash. Beyond Texas, DSNDP operates in 18 states and 80 cities across the U.S., hosting 27 environmental programs such as Adopt-A-Highway, Adopt-A-Park, Adopt-A-Beach, and river cleanups. In total, DSNDP has mobilized 4,271 volunteers, who have collectively removed 64,935 pounds of trash, providing substantial cost savings to local and state governments. The organization’s work has been widely recognized, earning 67 certificates and 97 signboards from various government entities.

The organisation is actively involved in tree plantation and conservation across 18 states and 39 cities within the US. DSNDP also leads health initiatives such as the Women’s Cancer Awareness Conference that was successfully hosted in 2023 and numerous blood/ plasma donation drives in Canada and the United States in recent years. DSNDP organized large-scale environmental initiatives in 2024 to celebrate Earth day. In 2025, DSNDP marked the milestone of 500 Green Initiatives across the United States and Canada, uniting over 300 volunteers who collected nearly 2400 pounds of trash, further advancing efforts in environmental conservation.
