There is a relationship between African- American Mental Health and the Church. Church teaches our community to dismiss symptoms of mental illness and focus on spiritual wellness. The following mental illnesses and disorders are frequently dismissed in the church: anxiety, PTSD, depression, Bipolar I, Bipolar II, Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Histrionic Personality Disorder.

Guillaume, a junior student who is concentrating on both African-American Studies and History and Literature, has served as one of the paper’s central administration reporters during which she was able to interview two of the university presidents and be a part of the team that covered Harvard’s 2018 presidential search.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reports the lawsuit was filed this week in federal court in Nashville by Fadumo Sardeye. It says the Somali native spent 15 years working at a Walmart in Memphis without problems.

In a recent edition published by African-American News&Issues the “one-drop” rule was defined in correlation to Black presidents that lead the United States of America decades before President Barack Obama. With an understanding of the“one-drop” rule in perspective it opens the flood gates for individuals all over the country as to who really would be labeled a Black person.
