The Houston Area Urban League invites community members and leaders to join Freedom Rising 2026, a special statewide leadership convening focused on strengthening civic engagement and helping communities stay informed and prepared.
The conversation will feature Rev. Al Sharpton, alongside Senator Royce West, Chairwoman Barbara Gervin-Hawkins, Bishop James Dixon, and faith, civic, and community leaders from across Texas.
As Election Day approaches, the convening will bring together leaders and organizations from across the state to share important updates and discuss efforts surrounding voter education, civic participation, election protection, and community engagement.
