Families need to understand child development with young toddlers. A baby just over a year old does not need discipline with a belt. There are alternative discipline techniques by displaying good behavior with rewards (hugs, read a book, play music, etc.) and bad behavior (talk repeat several times due to age). You are teaching a young child still developing physically and mentally. Everyone check local resources on caring for children at various stages of development. Do not take your stress (example, finances, job, relationship) out on the children. Another child is at heavenly peace now, but society will never know how the child could have contributed towards society. The baby boy could have been next inventor, builder, scientist, president, or more…
