TOMBALL- Harris County Sheriff Adrian Office and other Sheriff’s Office crime fighters are calling on local residents to help apprehend fugitives charged with abusing children.
Sheriff Garcia said of the wanted criminals: “If we find out that you are there and you don’t turn yourself in, get ready to have a great wake-up call by members of my team. We’ll smash your door down; we’re going to get you out of bed and we’re going to put you in jail, because we don’t need predators out in our community.”
Crime Stoppers is using a variety of media to display photos of suspects charged with sexually abusing or otherwise assaulting children. Sheriff Garcia urged the public to tell law enforcement personnel if they see any of the suspects or have information about their whereabouts.
The Sheriff’s Office smart phone app, at iwatcharriscounty.com, can be used to send anonymous tips to deputies by text, e-mail, phone, audio or video.
Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 713-222-TIPS and possibly qualify for a cash award. Information is at www.crime-stoppers.com
Daily news releases from Crime Stoppers will focus on selected fugitives. The Annual Safe Child Initiative aims to protect Houston-area children where they live, learn and play. Throughout April, Crime Stoppers will provide residents with valuable information about child abuse prevention.
