HOUSTON – Allene Ward Thompson was born March 2, 1944 in Bellville, Texas to W.R. Ward Sr. and Gertrude V. Ward. The family moved to Houston, Texas in 1948 and settled in Acres Homes Community where they untied with Greater Ward A.M.E. Church. She confessed Christ at at the age of fourteen.
