HOUSTON – Alief ISD’s Killough Middle School female students visited the Schlumberger iCenter during the 5th Annual “WOW! That’s Engineering” event. The half-day event brought together female engineers with more than 30 Killough students to perform hands-on engineering and science-based activities and experiments.
Students also had the chance to learn about educational opportunities and available financial aid options to help pursue college studies. “The primary objective of the event is to enable the students to visualize themselves as future engineers,” said Carmen Alvarez, operations support manager for Schlumberger.
