Eisenhower’s Aaron Petry named Finalist for Award

HOUSTON- Eisenhower High School senior linebacker Aaron Petry was one of 25 finalists for the 2012 Houston Touchdown Club’s Scholar Athlete of the Year Award. Petry and the 24 other finalists were honored at a luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at the JW Marriott Hotel. Petry, center, is pictured with Touchdown Club President Benny Pace, left, and guest speaker Murry Bowden, right. Bowden, a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, is the founder, chairman and CEO of The Hanover Company. He also serves on the National Football Foundation board. By being selected a finalist, Petry received a $500 college scholarship from the Touchdown Club of Houston.
