HOUSTON- Congressman Al Green  honored Wells Fargo for its efforts to help hundreds of potential homebuyers in Houston by providing $9 million in sustainable homeownership initiatives through its NeighborhoodLIFT program.  A two day event held at the George R. Brown Convention Center drew hundreds of Houstonians applying for Wells Fargo grants of up to $15,000 each for down payment assistance.  Congressman Green said, “Wells Fargo is changing people’s lives with this program.  I hope that it becomes contagious and all of Wells Fargo’s peers step up and do the same thing for the city. Thank you, Wells Fargo.”
