HOUSTON – The Acres Home Center for Business and Economic Development, Inc. (AHCBED) recently held their monthly Business Networking Luncheon.
Senator John Whitmire (District 15) was the keynote speaker. Senator Whitmire, who is head of the Senate Committee on Criminal Justice, shared information with the crowd regarding new programs Texas has adopted to reduce recidivism and keep children in their communities and schools. Additionally, he discussed how local school districts are writing tickets to students for small infractions that can easily be taken care of with in-school discipline or other methods instead of introducing them to the juvenile court system at an early age.
The November Business Networking Luncheon speaker will be Precinct One Constable Alan Rosen.
